Title:: The Resources of Japanese Cerasus subhirtella Miq.var.pendula Tanaka

Abstract:: The germplasm resources of Cerasus plants are rich and distribute extensively in Japan.Cerasus plants has about 500 varieties,including 20 pending varieties .Old and valuable trees existed in singular plant trees and adult big trees had more than 2 000 plants,including pending cherry blossom trees more than 1 000 plants.The oldest tree was more than 1 000years.This showed that pending cherry varieties were loved by people since ancient times.Varieties of more cultivaiotn were weeping cherry,red weeping cherry and eight red weeping cherry etc.
