Abstract:
The one-year-old deep dormant Amygdalus communis L.branches of‘Zhi Pi’‘Mission’‘Nonparein’‘Wan Feng 18’‘Xiao Shuang Ren’‘Duo Guo 02’‘Shuang Guo 12’ and ‘Amanisha’ were used as test materials,low temperature stress treatments at -28,-23,-18,-13,-8 ℃ were used,relative electric conductivity (REC),catalase (CAT),peroxidase (POD),superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity,soluble sugar,free proline (Pro),malondialdehyde (MDA),soluble protein content and branch structure were measured to study the effect of low temperature treatment on cold resistance of one-year-old branches of amygdalus communis,in order to provide reference for the selection of high-quality Amygdalus communis L. varieties with strong cold resistance in Alar reclamation area.The results showed that semi-lethal temperature of the tested varieties was between -22.53 ℃ and -14.34 ℃,the under low temperature stress,the protective enzyme activities of the eight Amygdalus communis L. branches generally increased first and then decreased.The contents of soluble sugar,free proline and malondialdehyde increased first and then decreased with the decrease of temperature,and the contents reached the highest value when the treatment temperature was -23 ℃.The comprehensive evaluation indicated that the strength of cold resistance in 8 varieties was in the following order,‘Shuang Guo 12’>‘Nonparein’>‘Xiao Shuang Ren’>‘Mission’>‘Duo Guo 02’>‘Zhi Pi’>‘Amanisha’>‘Wan Feng 18’.
