Abstract:
‘Beinong Jinxiu’ is a new medium-sized watermelon variety，which is bred by ‘9208-D945’ as the female parent and ‘G902’ as the male parent.It has medium growth potential，the fruit is round-shaped，and under the condition of spring greenhouse cultivation in Beijing，the whole growth period is about 103 days and the fruit development period is about 35 days.The average single fruit weight is 7.8 kg，and the yield per 667 m2 is about 4 500 kg.The green skin covered with deep green dentate stripes.The flesh is red，crisp，and less fiber.The soluble solids content of flesh is about 12% in the center and 10% in the side.It is suitable for protected cultivation in Beijing，Hebei，Shandong etc.It passed the registration of non-major crop varieties of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in 2022.
