Abstract:
Thin skinned muskmelon ‘Golden Road’ and ‘Baitangguan’ were used as test materials,optimal storage concentration of different concentrations of chitosan (0,0.25,0.50,0.75,1.00, 1.25 g?L-1) in postharvest thin skinned muskmelon at room temperature (24 ℃) was screened.The effects of chitosan and 0.05 mL?kg-1 ethanol combined treatment on postharvest storage quality and respiratory intensity were investigated,in order to provide reference for improving the quality of muskmelon in postharvest storage.The results showed that the appearance of the fruit was the best and the decay rate was the lowest under the condition of 0.75 g?L-1 chitosan treatment.Compared with 0.75 g?L-1 chitosan and 0.05 mL?kg-1 ethanol separately,the compound treatment group further delayed the decay,hardness and quality loss of the melon fruits during storage,and delayed the appearance of the peak of fruit respiratory jump.In conclusion,the combined treatment of chitosan and ethanol can improve the storage quality and delay the aging of fruits compared with the separate treatment of ethanol and chitosan under room temperature storage.
