‘Liaobai 23’ is a new mid-late maturing Chinese cabbage F1 hybrid with resistance to clubroot disease developed by crossing self-incompatible line S5-1 with 78S6-2 with resistance to clubroot disease.It takes 79 days from sowing to harvest.Its plant type is erect，the plant is about 47.5 cm in height and 61.9 cm in width with green outer-leaves and green petiole.The head center leaves are yellow in color．Its leaf balls are of cylinder-shaped and overlapping type with about 35.7 cm in height and 16.9 cm in diameter.The average head weight is about 3.5 kg,and the yield is about 7 900 kg per 667 m2.Molecular marker analysis showed that ‘Liaobai 23’ contained CRa and CRb two resistant genes to clubroot.It′s resistant to clubroot disease,TuMV,downy mildew and soft rot.It is suitable to be cultivated in Liaoning,Shandong,Jilin and Heilongjiang.
