Abstract:
Eleven kinds of rootstocks which widely used on melon grafting in Northeast China were used as materials.The differences of morphological and physiological indices of rootstock seedlings at low temperature (8 ℃) and room temperature (25 ℃/18 ℃) were determined and analyzed by comprehensive evaluation method.the effects of low temperature on melon grafting rootstock seedlings were studied,in order to provide reference for selecting excellent rootstock for melon grafting.The results showed that there was no significant effect on leaf area and root dry weight of 11 rootstocks and other morphological indicators was influenced at different degrees under low temperature treatment. The relative conductivity,proline content and protein content of 11 rootstocks were significantly higher under low temperature treatment than control treatment. The results of the comprehensive evaluation method showed that ‘Zhong Yuan Gong Rong’’Sheng Zhen Yi Hao’ and ‘Jin Gen Yong Shi’ showed more outstanding resistant to low temperatures than other rootstocks and could be used as recommended rootstocks on melon grafting in Northeast China.
