Abstract:
‘Xinfeng’,a new Rehmannia glutinosa variety,has been bred for many years from the excellent individual plants of ‘Beijing No.3’ based on indicators including quality,yield,disease resistance,growth traits.Compared to the control varieties,‘Xinfeng’ had more yields in comparison,regional and production tests,lower the incidence of ring spot and spot blight and stronger the disease resistance.In three consecutive years,the extracts of Rehmanniae Radix Recens produced by ‘Xinfeng’ were 76.2%,82.2%,89.2%,the content of catalpol was 0.63%,3.23%,2.18%,and the content of verbascoside was 0.023%,0.031%,and 0.023%,respectively,which showed all the tested indexes meet the requirements of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2015).In December 2019,the new variety identification was reviewed and approved by Henan Province Chinese Medicinal Material Variety Appraisal Professional Committee and the identification number was Yupinjian for Chinese Medicine 2019013.‘Xinfeng’ could be planted in Jiaozuo area of Henan Province,the main producing areas of Rehmanniae Radix.
