Abstract:
Taking lettuce ‘Green Butterfly’ as the test material,seedling raising methods including nutrient block seedling raising,rock wool seedling raising,foamed seedling raising and floating seedling raising were used to raise seedlings.The leaf morphology,root morphology,dry and fresh weight and strong seedling index of lettuce were measured,the seedling raising effects of different seedling raising methods were analyzed and compared,combined with operability and input cost,in order to screen the seedling raising methods suitable for lettuce,and provide reference for the production of high-quality lettuce seedlings.The results showed that the effect of lettuce seedling raising by nutrient block and floating seedling raising was significantly better than those by other seedling raising methods,but the floating seedling raising was greatly affected by the physical and chemical properties of the substrate.The specific performance was that the stem diameter,dry and fresh weight and strong seedling index of lettuce seedlings in T1 (nutrient block) and T6 (coconut bran∶peat = 7∶3) were significantly higher than those in other treatments.The strong seedling index increased by 215% and 251% respectively compared with T3 (ordinary sponge block);however,considering the actual operation difficulty and input cost,floating seedling raising was simpler than nutrient block seedling raising,and the input cost was lower than others.It was suitable for lettuce nutrient solution seedling raising.It was suggested that the matrix ratio should be coconut bran∶peat = 7∶3.
