Abstract:
Twelve watermelon varieties,including ‘Ruihong’‘Ruixin’‘Xinong No.8’‘Xinzaojia’‘13xg208 zhou’‘14xg2087’‘Qinxin No.30’‘W22’‘Huangjinbao’‘Xinheilongguanwang’‘ZS 518’ ‘Guomei Xiaofeng’ were used as test materials to observe the characters in the field.The quantitative and qualitative characters of watermelon were studied,in order to provide reference for the selection and mating of breeding parents and the prediction of traits during the growth process. The results showed that the neutral variation of watermelon growth and development was rich,and the variation range of quality characters was 0%-37.59%,among which the color of cotyledons,shape of cotyledons,spots of cotyledons and color of veins were extremely stable,and the variation coefficients were 0,and the coefficient of variation of tendrils was the largest,37.59%.The variation range of quantitative characters in early stage (seedling stage) was 10.25%-31.52%,in which the variation coefficient of average cotyledon width was the smallest (10.25%),and the variation coefficient of germination rate was the largest (31.52%).The variation range of leaf length and leaf width was
