Abstract:
‘Jinzhen No.3’ is a new breed of hybrid corylus heterohpylla selected and bred by ‘Dawei’.The fruit of this variety is bigger,and its average weight is 3.2 g.It has yellow brown fruit shell and bright appearance.The fruit of this variety is with relatively uniform size,elliptical in shape,with a mean diameter of 1.78 cm,a thin shell of 1.53 mm,a kernel rate of 44%,an empty shell rate of 2.0%,a milky white kernel,a sweet taste,a protein content of 20.26%,and a fat content of 58.56%.The tree is strong and vigorous,and 5-year-old is basically formed.The height of tree is 2.8 m,and the crown is 2.4 m×2.6 m.The plant starts to bear fruit at the third year,and the fifth year is the early fruiting stage with yield.The production is about 183 kg for per 667 m2.It becomes fruiting stage at the seventh year with the production of 214 kg for per 667 m2.In Taigu,Jinzhong,Shanxi Province,it bloomed in early March,separated its fruit sequence in late April,and matured in early August,with a fruit development period of about 110 days.It is suitable for planting in area with an altitude of less than 1 500 m,pH 5.5-8.5,rainfall more than 420 mm,annual averagedtemperature of 7.0 ℃,annual minimum temperature above -25 ℃.
