Abstract:
‘Yunguan’ pumpkin is a fresh pumpkin variety by continuous self-crossing separation from ‘Yuanmou small pumpkin’,an excellent pumpkin germplasm resource in Yunnan Province.It′s pumpkin on main side vine,pumpkins are dumb-bell shaped,flat near the pumpkin,top flat,the surface of the pumpkin is longitudinal edge and ridge shallow groove.Tender pumpkin′s surface is spotted and markings light green.The cross section of pumpkin is pentagonal.The skin′s color of the old pumpkin is orange yellow,the skin with powder;aspect ratio 1.4∶1.Tender pumpkin′s meat is light green,old pumpkin′s meat is orange.The pumpkin meat is about 2.5 cm thick and vital part is about 6.5 cm×8.0 cm.The average weight of a single tender pumpkin is 1.0 kg,the average weight of a single old pumpkin is 1.5 kg,with a maximum weight of 2.5 kg.Yield of tender pumpkin 2 500 kg and produced old pumpkin 1 500 kg per 667 m2.The old pumpkin′s meat is thick,close and delicate in texture,and sweet in taste.This variety was identified by experts organized by Yunnan Provincial Seed Management Station in 2019,and was suitable for facilities and filed cultivation with 1 500-2 200 m altitude and 15-30 ℃ temperature in Yunnan Province.
