Abstract:
The fruits of 20 apricot (Armeniaca vulgaris L.) varieties were used as material,and the difference and correlation among the varieties of appearance characters such as fruit weight,fruit edible rate,fruit shape index,and fruit stone shape index were analyzed using comparative,correlation analysis and cluster analysis methods.In order to provide the basis for quality evaluation,variety selection and popularization of apricot varieties.The results showed that by comparing the 20 materials,there were different degrees of difference in 9 appearance characteristics indicators;correlation analysis showed that there were definitely notable positive relationship among single fruit weight,flesh stone weight,edible rate,fruit vertical diameter,transverse diameter,fruit stone vertical diameter,stone transverse diameter,and significantly positive relationship between fruit shape index and stone index.The cluster analysis divided 20 samples into 4 categories at a critical point with a distance of 5.The first type contained 9 varieties,represented by ‘Jintaiyang’‘Jinmeixing’‘Yinxiangbai’.It was characterized by an average single fruit weight of about 60.790 g,and even fruit size.The second type contained 3 varieties,represented by ‘Saimaiti’,which was characterized by an average single fruit weight of about 34.175 g,and smaller fruit size.The third type contained 4 varieties,represented by ‘Wanhongxing’,which was characterized by an average single fruit weight of about 82.231 g,with slightly larger fruit and stone.The fourth category contained 4 varieties,represented by ‘Huaxiandajiexing’,which was characterized by an average single fruit weight of about 101.226 g,with large fruit and stone.The conclusion was that there are differences in appearance characters among varieties,and the appearance characters of each other are affected by each other.Among them,the single fruit weight was greatly affected by the fresh weight of the stones,the edible rate,the fruit vertical,horizontal diameter,stone vertical and horizontal diameter,the fruit shape index was generally affected by the stone shape index.The clustering analysis was divided into 4 categories,the medium fruit shape (common fruit shape),the small fruit type,the medium slightly larger size,and the largest fruit shape.
