Abstract:
In order to screen edible mushroom strains superior in biodegradation of lignin in rice straw,the Lac and LiP activities,as well as the growth rate on rice straw of 17 strains of Pleurotus ostreatus,two strains of Hypsizygus marmoreus and one strain of Pleurotus eryngii were investigated.The results showed that four P.ostreatus strains,‘Ce5’‘Huatai’‘No.2106’‘No.01’ were found producing more Lac and LiP and growing faster on rice straw.Then the four strains were used to degrade lignin in rice straw.The lignin degradation occurred after the 10 days of cultivation.On the 30th day,the percentages of lignin degraded by these 4 strains were more than 18.0%,and the highest was that of P.ostreatus ‘Ce5’,which reached to 36.4%.The above results showed that P.ostreatus ‘Ce5’ was a highly effective edible mushroom strain in straw lignin degradation.These results would contribute towards the comprehensive utilization of straw residual and the cultivation of edible mushroom.
