Abstract:
Chemical reaction was applied to analyze the component type of theethanol extract from the flower of Grevillea robusta. Meanwhile,the antioxidant activity of different polarity partsofits flower were estimated by methods of salicylic acid,potassium ferricyanide reduction,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrozyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonate) (ABTS).The results showed that theethanol extract contained chemical constituents such as flavonoid,phenols,anthraquinones,cardiac glycoside and coumarins.The different polarity parts in extracts with ethanol from the flower of Grevillea robusta all had antioxidant activity.The ethyl acetate extract showed the strongest antioxidant activity in the tests of salicylic acid method,potassium ferricyanide reduction method and ABTS method.The petroleum etherextract showed the strongest scavenging activity in DPPH method than other extracts.
