Abstract:
The agricultural landscape of plateau mountain was limited by natural factors.Consequently,problems including local ecological deterioration and improper land use were common.The spatial characteristics of agricultural landscapes was studied from a landscape perspective and new ideas for further protection and development of the agricultural landscapes of plateau mountain were offered.Taking Binchuan as an example,GIS technologies were used in typical major agricultural county that were divided into the mountainous areas and the dam area.The landscape patch and landscape heterogeneity showed landscape pattern characteristics,and popular landscape types demonstrated spatial structure characteristics.The results showed that mountainous areas and dam areas were largely different in terms of landscape patch characteristics and landscape heterogeneity.The landscape matrix in the mountainous area was forest,with a small diversity index and high dominance;while the landscape matrix in the dam area was paddy fields,with high diversity index and low dominance.Dry farmland and paddy fields were commonly seen in the mountainous area and dam area respectively,presenting ‘strip-shaped’ and ‘plaque-shaped’ characteristics;the garden plot was characterized by expanding from the south to the north side along the dam area;the construction land was characterized by expanding from the middle part to both ends of the dam area;and the forest and unused land mainly exhibited ‘plaque-shaped’ characteristics.
