Abstract:
Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.c.v.‘Jinpeng No.8’ was used as experimental crop and three typical soils from Henan Province were used as test soils,i.e.,Zhengzhou clay soil,Luoyang silty loam soil,and Zhumadian sandy loam soil.With conventional subsurface drip irrigation as control treatment (CK),two type of aerated irrigation treatments,i.e.,continuously aerated irritation (AI) and hydrogen peroxide solution (HP) were used to investigate the effects on crop growth,water and fertilizer use efficiency.The results showed that HP and AI treatments promote root growth,crop yield and fruit quality in contrast to CK treatment.Compared with CK,the root activity of HP and AI in Zhengzhou clay soil significantly increased by 44.03% and 51.79%,the yield increased by 23.90% and 27.76%,the vitamin C content increased by 11.11% and 13.04%,the water use efficiency increased by 23.62% and 27.87%,the nitrogen use efficiency increased by 51.59% and 59.47%,respectively.Compared with CK,the root activity,crop yield,soluble solids,vitamin C content treated with HP and AI in Luoyang silty loam and Zhumadian sandy loam were also significantly increased (P<0.05).Continuously aerated irrigation was the best treatment improving crop growth,water and nutrient use efficiency in Zhengzhou clay soil,while hydrogen peroxide treatment was optimal for both Luoyang silty loam and Zhumadian sandy loam soils.
