Abstract:
‘Zidingmi No.16’is a new mid late ripening variety melon developed by Institute of Agricultural Research 6th Branch of XPCG,WF0403102 as the female parent，the WF0801405N as male parent hybridization breeding of melon varieties.It can be harvested about 91 days after sowing,fruit development period is 47 days.The peel is dark green，with full reticulation，and the fruit is long and oval.The single fruit weight is about 3.30 kg and the yield of 667 m2 is about 3 578 kg when cultivated on the open ground.The flesh is light orange，the flesh is tight and crisp，the soluble solids content in the center is about 16.20%，and the quality is stable.It has strong growth，resistance to premature aging，resistance to powdery mildew，and resistance to storage and transportation，suitable for open field cultivation of middle and late mature melon in northwest China.
