Abstract:
With the cutting down of timber, the function of providing timber by forests has shown signs of gradual decline. The function of forests to improve the natural and human living environment was awakening people′s feelings about it.The development of forest ecotourism was a new exploration of overall planning of tourism destination development under the guidance of scientific development concept, which was equally important to the development of social economy and cultural civilization.Influenced by the special geographical location and climate, the forest ecotourism resources and natural ecological and human environment in the Greater Khingan Mountains region had more advantages in developing forest ecotourism than other regions in China.Based on the analysis of the advantages, development significance and existing problems of developing forest ecotourism in Greater Khingan Mountains, this study put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, aiming to provide practical and feasible sustainable development strategies for local development of forest ecotourism.
