Abstract:: The content and composition of Notopterygium franchetii H.de Boiss.in different origins were studied by steam distillation,GC-MS,component analysis and cluster analysis,in order to provide some references for the study of Notopterygium franchetii H.de Boiss.The results showed that 11 batches of samples were divided into 5 categories.The first principal component was the native and wild species of Notopterygium franchetii，with the cumulative contribution rate of 72.84%.The main components of Notopterygium franchetii H.de Boiss.from different habitats were similar.Four common components (alpha-pinene，beta-pinene，terpene，terpene olefin) were found.The main constituents were alpha-pinene，beta-pinene，terpene.
