- Abstract:
- The fruits of Siraitia grosvenorii after fertilization for 50 days were used as materials, treated with different concentrations of methyl jasmonate (MeJA).After inducing with MeJA for different times,RNA was extracted from the sample fruits.Expression levels of squalene synthase (SQS),cucurbitadienol synthase (CS) and cycloartenol synthase (CAS) (the genes encoding the key enzymes of mogroside V biosynthetic pathway in S.grosvenorii) were detected by quantitative real-time PCR in order to provide theoretical basis for improving mogroside V metabolism by grasping the rule of SQS,CS and CAS expression. The results showed that the expressions of SQS and CS were increased by the induction of MeJA;12 hours and 24 hours after treatment with 200 μmol·L-1 MeJA,the expression of SQS and CS were the highest, accounting for 11.12 folds and 9.82 folds of that before treatment, respectively. However, the expression of CAS was decreased by the induction of MeJA;6 hours after treatment with 100 μmol·L-1 MeJA,the expression of CAS was the lowest, accounting for only 0.13 folds of that before treatment.
