Abstract:
The cultivar of 6-year-old ‘Qingxiang’ walnut was used as material and pruned respectively in different time.The pruning periods were pruning before defoliation(PBD),pruning after defoliation(PAD),winter pruning(WP),pruning before germination(PBG),pruning after germination(PAG) and untrimmed(CK).The effect of different pruning period on seasonal changes of nutrient elements content of walnut leaves were studied in order to provide reasonable reference for pruning period of walnut.The results showed that contents of N,P,K,Ca and Mg in leaves among different pruning time was no significant difference.Contents of Fe,Mn,Zn and Cu in leaves after pruning were superior to CK,and were distinctly higher in leaves of PAD and relatively low in leaves of PAG and PBD,lowest in leaves of WP.Thus the best pruning time was PAD,next were PAG and PBD.The effect of WP was the worst.
