- Bactrocera tau was used as test insect,the sterility effect of different concentrations of betacyfluthrin and cuelure on the adult of Bactrocera tau was determined when used alone or mixed by feeding method,in order to provide reference for the use of chemical sterility technology to control the insect.The results showed that a single dose of betacypermethrin at a concentration of 0.05-1.00 mg·L-1 or a single dose of 2.00%-5.00% of cuelure had significant infertility on the Bactrocera tau,and its number of eggs laid per female and egg hatching rate were lower than those of the control.At the concentration of 0.50 mg·L-1 of betacyfluthrin and 4.00% of cuelure,the best sterility was observed for adults.When different concentrations of betacyfluthrin were mixed with 4.00% of cuelure,and the concentration of betacyfluthrin was 0.50 mg·L-1,the number of eggs laid per female and the hatching rate of eggs were lower than those of the control and other concentrations.The infertility of betacyfluthrin and cuelure to adult was the best for simultaneous treatment of male and female adults,followed by females alone.The use of betacyfluthrin in combination with cuelure was more effective than a single dose of betacyfluthrin in the infertility of Bactrocera tau.
