Abstract:
Eleven different lines of chili pepper germplasm resources were used to study the variation, correlation, principal component and yield path. With randomized block design,a total of 10 different agronomic traits were evaluated and analyzed. The results showed that ten agronomic characteristics had different degrees of variation, among them yield and fruit number per plant had larger variation, fruit length, and stem diameter had smaller variation. The correlation analysis showed that there were significant positive correlations between single fruit weight and stem diameter, leaf width, fruit diameter and fruit length;the result also showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the fruit number per plant and the stem diameter, and the yield per plant had a significant positive correlation with the stem diameter and the fruit number per plant, while the single fruit number and fruit weight had a negative correlation. The results of path analysis showed that there were five direct characters in the nine different traits, the fruit number per plant, leaf length, stem diameter, fruit diameter and single fruit weight had a direct positive effect on the yield per plant;the contribution of single fruit weight and fruit number to the yield per plant was the largest.Principal component analysis was used to simplify the 10 agronomic traits of line pepper into three main components, with a cumulative contribution rate of 81.88% and the highest contribution rate of single plant yield factor, which was 63%.
