Title:: Climate Change Vulnerability of Apple Farmer in Northern Shaanxi and Guanzhong Areas of Shaanxi Province

Abstract:: Climate change may affect the livelihood,health and sustainable development of vulnerable communities.Using the survey data of apple growers in Shaanxi in 2015,the livelihood vulnerability index (LVI and IPCC-LVI) under the definition of IPCC and the framework of sustainable livelihood were estimated,then using independent sample T-test to fixed the results.The results showed that there were significant differences in livelihood vulnerability index (LVI) between the two regions,and northern Shaanxi showed more obvious livelihood vulnerability.The main indicators reflected the significant differences in livelihood strategies and lifestyles.Due to the interaction between the various factors in the IPCC framework,there was no significant difference in the IPCC-LVI index between the two regions.The study was of reference significance to comparative analysis of regional vulnerabilities,testing the validity of policies,formulation of target policies and the training of vulnerable farmers′ adaptability.
