- Abstract:
- In order to define the occurrence of Chinese chive maggot adult in Anhui Province, and look for the optimum time for prevention and control, two monitoring sites in Bozhou and Hefei were selected, which were respectively in northern and middle of Anhui Province. The annual occurrence of Chinese chive maggot adults was monitored by using yellow sticky trap, and the selection of optimum control period was using field efficacy test. The results showed that in the two monitoring sites, there were 6 peaks of maggot adult throughout the year in greenhouse, the generations which damaged chive seriously were overwinter generation, the first generation, and the second generation.Meanwhile, there were 5 peaks of maggot adult throughout the year for open-field,and the generations which damage chives seriously were overwinter generation and the first generation. In addition, the optimum control period was one week after adult emergence peak, and the control effect was more than 90% for 2 weeks and 4 weeks after pesticide treated. The occurrences of Chinese chive maggot adults in Anhui Province were multi-peaks type in spring and autumn. The key period for Chinese chive maggot control in greenhouse was November,mid-late February, and early-mid April in next year;the key period for open-field control was November and late March to early April in next year.
