Title:: Empirical Research on Vegetable Industry in Heilongjiang Province Based on DEA Input-output Efficiency

Abstract:: Based on data envelopment analysis (DEA),the vegetable production efficiency and technological progress in Heilongjiang Province were analyzed.Longitudinal evaluation using DEA-Malmquist model,the typical types of vegetable cultivation in Heilongjiang Province which could reflect the status of their inputs and output indicators was selected,input-output panel data of the vegetable industry in Heilongjiang Province during 2011—2015 was analyzed.Horizontal evaluation using DEA-BC2 model,the main inputs and outputs of the vegetable industry in Heilongjiang Province in 2015 were analyzed.The results showed that the total factor productivity of vegetable production in Heilongjiang Province was generally low,and the development and application of new technologies were the main influencing factors.In 2015,the comprehensive efficiency of the rutabaga in Heilongjiang Province reached an effective level,while the comprehensive efficiency index of other varieties of vegetable cultivation was not hig and did not reach the DEA effective,there were significant differences between different breeds.The input-output value was improved,and corresponding suggestions for the development of vegetable industry in Heilongjiang Province were put forward.
