Abstract:
‘Jiancui’jujube fruits were used to investigate the effects of different concentrations of exogenous H.2S fumigation on fruit storage quality and antioxidant capacity during shelf (20 ℃) and cold (4 ℃) storage, while control fruits were immersed in water. The results showed that although 0.8 mmol·L-1 NaHS could reduce the loss of soluble solids content (SSC),inhibit the accumulation of malondialdehyde (MDA),and maintain higher levels of reduced glutathione (GSH) and total phenols (TP) during shelf storage, its efficacy was lower than that in 1.6 mmol·L-1 NaHS treatment.During cold storage, both NaHS treatments could delay the decrease of fruit firmness, reduce the amount of MDA,enhance the activities of catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX),retard the decrease of TP,total flavonoid (TF),GSH and ascorbic acid (AsA),and maintain the higher DPPH· scavenging capacity and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP).This indicated that the storage temperature and treatment concentration affected the efficacy of H.2S.The 1.6 mmol·L-1 NaHS could enhance the activities of antioxidant enzymes, reduce the losses of nonenzymatic antioxidants, alleviate the membrane damage, and prolong the fruit storage quality.
