- Abstract:
- Wild vegetables have been used for a long history and are rich in biodiversity in China.They not only are the source of cultivated vegetables,but also have more prominent multi-functionalities such as nutritional value,medicinal efficacy and health functions than cultivated vegetables.In this study,through the survey of wild vegetable resources reported in 27 provinces in China,a total of 595 species of wild vegetables distributed in 124 families were summarized,and the utilization of wild vegetablesas natural nutritional vegetables,herbal medicines and healthy foods were reviewed,in order to provide supports for the comprehensive development of wild vegetables in China.
