Abstract:
he effects of salt stress on chlorophyll contents, proline content, POD and soluble sugar in Spathiphyllum kochii were investigated using substrate culture method.The results may not only important for understanding the relationships among physiological characteristics and chlorophyll content under salt stress, but also provide data and theoretical support for planting Spathiphyllum kochii on saline alkali soil. The results showed that the chlorophyll, proline content, POD and soluble sugar were substantially affected by NaCl salt stress (P<0.05). The chlorophyll a, chlorophyll a+b, proline content and POD featured a bell-shape curve with the increases of salt stress. In addition, the chlorophyll b was decreased with increasing of NaCl concentrations, while soluble sugar were substantially increased.
