- Abstract:
- In this study, ten ISSR markers were selected to investigate the genetic diversity of three Rhododendron simsii Planch.populations, which were sampled at different slope aspects of Huangshizhai (Luotian country). The results showed that these markers gave out 38 loci, among which 36 bands (94.74%) were polymorphic. Moreover, the number of locus ranged from 3 to 5.In particular, the percentage of polymorphic loci,Nei′s gene diversity (h),Shannon information index (I) were all the highest in the ‘Southern population’,while the lowest in the ‘Western population’.The geographical environment and accompanying species on the southern slope might showed great effect to genetic diversity of R.simsii population. The total genetic variation (Ht) was 0.268 9.AMOVA analysis showed that only 6.01% genetic variation was maintained between populations, while 93.99% was maintained within populations. The genetic identify was the highest between ‘Western population’ and ‘Northern population’.Furthermore, genetic distance was the highest between ‘Northern population’ and ‘Southern population’.This research would provide critical theoretical basis for the biological protection, sustainable development and utilization of Rhododendron resources.
