Abstract:: Sedum lineare and Sedum sarmentosum were used to make a mixed roof turf, then the method of contrast was adopted to study the impact of the roof turf, the bare roof and the roof of the concrete slab to the indoor temperature and the noise value of a apartment at the top of a building. Meanwhile, in order to obtain the feasibility and significance of the roof turf, the load added value, roof temperature, storage and drainage and roof maintenance also were compared between those three facilities on the old buildings without designed roof garden load. The results showed that on the old buildings without designed roof garden load, the simple mixed roof turf can be applied, the added load was less than the temporary load of the roof, the security was guaranteed. Meanwhile, the roof turf had obvious ecological benefits and landscaping benefits in noise reduction, cooling, rainwater storage and other aspects, and it deserves to be popularized in a large area.
