Abstract:
Three fine varieties of Camellia oleifera inclouding ‘Yu 1’ ‘Yu 3’ and ‘Da Bieshan 1’ were used as materials and treated at variable and low temperature.CaCl2 treatment was carried out before and after 24 hours of low temperature treatment, respectively. The relative conductivity, the contents of MDA,proline and soluble sugar, soluble protein, and activities of SOD and POD were measured at different time points,in order to explore the effect of different regulation time on the anti-cold effect of Camellia oleifera.The results showed that the above physiological indexes all increased firstly and then decreased under low temperature stress.Compared with the control, the effect of spraying CaCl2 solution could reduce the increase of the relative conductivity, the contents of soluble sugar and MDA of Camellia oleifera,increase the contents of proline and soluble protein, and increase the activities of SOD and POD.Moreover, spraying CaCl2 solution before low temperature had better effect than that of spraying CaCl2 solution after low temperature. It indicated that spraying CaCl2 solution before low temperature was more beneficial to improve the cold resistance of Camellia oleifera.
