- Abstract:
- We have comprehensively evaluated the value and significance of ecosystem services and its spatial pattern in the temperate grassland and some cities of Inner Mongolia.In addition,we have revised the ecosystem services value per unit area based on the biomass (evaluated from remote sensing products) and annual precipitation amount (evaluated from spatial interpolation of multi-station meteorological data),and further estimated the ecosystem services value and its spatial pattern in the temperate grassland of Inner Mongolia.The results showed that 1)the total value of ecosystem services of the entire temperate grassland of Inner Mongolia was 1.6 trillion RMB,which was equivalent to one year′s total GDP of Inner Mongolia.The indirect value of regulation service was much larger than any other service value.However,the value of supply service which represented the direct economic value was less than one-tenth of the total value of ecosystem services.2)The ecosystem serviced value per unit area in the entire temperate grassland of Inner Mongolia was 29 780.3 RMB·hm-2.Xingan League possesses the highest value with 87 616.86 RMB·hm-2,while Alashan League had the lowest value with 1 063.99 RMB·hm-2.The value of ecosystem services of the entire temperate grassland of Inner Mongolia decreased from northeast to southwest.3)The ecosystem services value in the temperate grassland of Inner Mongolia was mainly distributed in Hulunbei′er League,Xilinguole League,Chifeng city,Xingan League,and Tongliao city,which contributes 35.64%,25.62%,11.68%,10.91%,and 7.39% to the total value of ecosystem services,respectively.The results provided more reliable data basis for the enaction of reasonable strategies for ecological protection and economic development.
