- Abstract:
- Rosa chinensis cut flower was used as the materials,the effects of different concentrations of lanthanum chloride (LaCl3,10,30,50,100 μmol·L-1) on the activities of antioxidant enzymes,the contents of osmotic adjustment substances,MDA and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2),and the vase life and relative water content of petals were studied.The results showed that different concentrations of LaCl3 significantly increased the activities of peroxidase(POD), superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), ascorbate peroxidase(APX),glutathione reductase(GR) and glutathione peroxidase(GPX).Meanwhile,different concentrations of LaCl3 significantly decreased the contents of MDA and H2O2,which indicated that LaCl3 maintained the balance of reactive oxygen metabolism.Besides,different concentrations of LaCl3 significantly improved the contents of osmotic adjustment substances and the relative water content. During the different concentrations of LaCl3,50 μmol·L-1 LaCl3 had the better effects of above indicators.Therefore, the appropriate concentration of LaCl3 could effectively improve the antioxidant defense system and relative water content in petals of Rosa chinensis cut flower,which improved the vase life.
