- Abstract:
- The sand in the Yellow River has affected the formation of tidal flat wetlands. There are differences in soil particle size between tidal flat wetlands with different developmental levels. To study the wetland soil particle size distribution and fractal characteristics of Yinchuan plain,Wuzhong Yellow River wetland,Yinchuan Yellow River wetland,Pingluo wetland and Huangsha Gudu, four wetland area were chosen as the researched objects.Using the method of field sampling, laboratory experiment, data analysis,to reveal the relationship between soil particle size characteristics and wetland development. The results showed that:1)in addition to the Huangsha Gudu, the soil particle composition of beach wetland had small difference between the layers 0-10,10-20,20-30,30-40 and 40-50 cm(P<0.05).It had significant difference in vertical direction of Huangsha Gudu(P<0.05);2) the composition of soil particles in the surface soil (0-20 cm) of the beach wetland had nothing to do with the location of the upper and lower reaches of the Yellow River, which was related to the degree of development. The wetland with high development level had a higher content of fine clay and coarse clay;3) there was no significant correlation between soil particles and electrical conductivity and pH in the Yellow River wetland of Yinchuan plain, and there was a significant negative correlation between soil organic carbon and soil coarse grain (P<0.01);4) the soil fractal dimensions of Pingluo wetland,Yinchuan Yellow River wetland,Wuzhong Yellow River wetland, and Huangsha Gudu wetland were 2.74,2.71,2.65,and 2.24,respectively,which were at a medium level;5) the fractal dimension of soil had a significant positive correlation with soil clay (P<0.01).It could well reflect the distribution characteristics of soil particles and soil nutrient status, and it had a certain role in the development of the wetland in the mudflat.
