- Abstract:
- Pepper was used as test material, using potted plants and alternate micro-irrigation methods in greenhous, two different treatments of 1.0 m pressure head and 1.5 m pressure head were set up,using ordinary irrigation as the experimental control, the growth and development, yield of pepper and soil water content under different treatments during the whole growth process of pepper were analyzed to obtain the effect of different pressure heads on crop growth. The results showed that the plant height, fresh weight, dry weight and yield of the pepper in the alternate irrigation group were all higher than those in the ordinary irrigation group.Irrigation water productivity of 1.0 m and 1.5 m pressure head were 1.53 times and 2.22 times that of the normal irrigation group, respectively.Under the condition of 4 days alternating period, the 1.5 m pressure head was more conducive to the growth of pepper. Therefore, alternate micro-irrigation could be applied not only to actual pepper planting, but also to select appropriate pressure heads to save irrigation water while increasing yield.
