- Abstract:
- The levels and pattern of DNA methylation in 4-year-old potted Agapanthus vegetative bud, inductive bud, inflorescence bud were analyzed by methylation-sensitive amplification polymorphism marker (MSAP),in order to explore the correlation between flowering performance traits and their genome methylation modification. The results showed that 36 pairs were selected from 64 pairs of the MSAP primers, and 292,310,323 electrophoresis bands were obtained, respectively,no methylation or single chain methylation were 184,204,210 bands, respectively;the double chain methylation bands were 93,108,107 bands, respectively. The number of hypermethylated bands were 76,63,58 bands, respectively. The overall methylation ratios of the three samples were 61.34%,60.31%,60.60%.It provided new ideas for the molecular identification, seed breeding and cultivation, and genetic evolution of the plant by this study.
