- Abstract:
- The three introduced golden-leaf plants in Qingdao,including Ulmus pumila ‘Aurea’, Sambucus racemosa ‘Aurea’ and Ovate catalpa ‘Aurea’ were used as materials.In order to explore the best ornamental period of three golden leaf plants in Qingdao area in spring,the performance of leaf color,leaf color parameter,contents of anthocyanin and photosynthetic pigment of the superior leaf were investigated during the different periods of spring by morphological examination and physiological indexes measurement.The results showed that the leaf color turned yellow as the plant growing.The L value and B value of the leaf color parameters increased gradually,and the anthocyanin content decreased gradually.The Chl/Car ratio of Sambucus racemosa ‘Aurea’ and Ovate catalpa ‘Aurea’ showed a decreasing trend.But the Chl/Car ratio of Ulmus pumila ‘Aurea’ appeared initially rising and then decreasing.
