Abstract:
By the investigation and data reduction of vegetable farmer households in five districts and counties of Shenyang,cost-benefit of vegetable cultivation in Shenyang was analyzed.Compared with the cost-benefit of vegetable cultivation in national large and medium-sized cities,advantages and characteristics of vegetable production in Shenyang were concluded,which could provide the decision-making basis for the government and relevant departments in the development of vegetable industry.The results showed that,1)Shenyang vegetable cultivation practitioners were older and less educated.It was important for the development of the industry to speed up the cultivation of new type of professional farmers,retain or attract a group of young intellectuals to engage in vegetable production and management.2)Compared with the open field vegetable,greenhouse vegetable produce had the advantages of high investment,high yield and high benefit.The earnings of greenhouse vegetables in Shenyang city was 5.7 times of that in the national large and medium-sized cities.Therefore it should be developed quickly,high standard and large-scale construction should be especially promoted.3)Owing to the pressures from manpower and land cost surrounding the big city,the promotion of labor productivity should be put first.Plant in a scale and characteristic plant would be developed by financial support,technological support and other means in order to improve the vegetable planting benefit,guarantee the supply of vegetables.
