Abstract:
In order to further study the PoFAD2 gene in regulating polyunsaturated fatty acid synthesis,the FAD2 gene coding ω-6 fatty acid dehydrogenase in peony ‘Fengdan’(Paeonia ostii) was analyzed via bioinformatics methods.The results showed that the three FAD2 proteins of Paeonia ostii were clustered into 3 branches,indicating the varied functions among them.The full-length cDNA of PoFAD2-1 was 1 695 bp,encoding 383 amino acids.It was a secreted protein without signal peptide structure.PoFAD2-1 had four transmembrane regions,including three conserved histidine clusters,located in the endoplasmic reticulum,which were in line with the FAD2 proteins in other species.
