Abstract:
Kuqa white apricot was used as test material,Kuqa white apricot was preserved with different concentrations(2%,4%,6%)of extract containing propolis.The effects on white apricot fresh-keeping was estimated by the decay index and related quality indicators.The results showed that the treatment of propolis coating could significantly reduce decay index,maintain the firmness of white apricot,inhibit respiration intensity restrain decreasing of the soluble solid,titrable acidity and vitamin C contents and maintain white apricot sensory quality.The best effect of the treatments was the treatment with 2% propolis which kept fruit freshness quite well.
