Abstract:
Using cut flowers of Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.‘Zhushalei’ as test material,the present study was designed to determine the effect of different treatments(adding a certain concentration of STS and different concentrations of SB on the basis of conventional preservation solution) on vase life and physiological and biochemical characteristics.The results indicated that different treatments of STS and SB were beneficial to prolong the vase life of cut flowers,to improve the contents of soluble sugar and soluble protein,to enhance the activity of SOD,meanwhile,to decrease the contents of MDA and REC in the peony petals of cut flowers.And STS 0.5 mmol?L-1+SB 300 mg?L-1 was the best treatment.
