Abstract:
Eleven succulent plants was taken as materials,the growth status of different stages and the effects of different leaf cutting ways on growth were compared.The results showed that under the way of drawing a small groove on the surface of the substrate and insert leaves placed parallel to the substrate,and keep 20° angle between leaf and substrate surface,the germination rates of Sedum ‘Qingli’, Sedum morganianum ‘Burrito’, Echeveria ‘Perle von Nurnberg’, Graptopetalum ‘Bronze’, Graptopetalum paraguayense,Pachyphytum ‘Doctor Cornelius’ were 100% on the day 120th,while the death rates were 0;the germination rates of Aeonium decorum f.variegata,Pachyphytum oviferum were 90% and above,the germination rates of Sedum rubrotinctum was 73%;illustrating that the leaf cutting and post management were suitable for these 9 succulents;the germination rates of Echeveria peacockii,Sedum pachyphyllum were 58% and 35%,futher illustrating that the propagate means of these two succulents should be improved.Different leaf cutting ways experiments showed that drew a small groove on the surface of the substrate was the best way for cutting′s rooting and sprouting.
