Abstract:
The capacity of arbor on reducing temperature,increasing humidity and dust retention was studied on campus shade trees in Hainan Tropical Ocean University (Sanya campus),such as Ficus altissima, Acacia auriculaeformis,Ficus elastica,Ficus religiosa,Khaya senegalensis,Spathodea campanulata,Acacia mangium,Cinnamomum camphora,Alstonia scholaris,Terminalia mantaly,Ficus benjamina,Eucalyptus exserta.The results shown that reducing temperature and increasing humidity were showed difference in tree species of the similar ages in the same environment.The effects of reducing temperature and increasing humidity were the best on Ficus altissima,Acacia auriculaeformis and Ficus elastica and were worse on Eucalyptus exserta,Terminalia mantaly and Ficus benjamina.The capacities of dust retention showed difference in different tree species,which were better capacities of dust retention focus on Spathodea campanulata,Ficus religiosa,Ficus altissima and Ficus elastica.The results of this study supplied some reference value for campus greening and city street planning.
