Abstract:
11-year-old ‘Youhou’ persimmon was used as test material,the effects of cutting short on the growth of ‘Youhou’ fruit were studied.The results showed that cutting short could improve the fruit growth.There were a significant difference in the fruit setting rate，fruit size and total soluble solids content between the treatment group and the control group.The commercial fruit production increased 76.8%.The best treatment of bearing basal shoots of 11-20 cm was cutting off one bud，bearing basal shoots of 21-30 cm and 31-40 cm was cutting off two buds，bearing basal shoots of over 40 cm was cutting off three buds.
