Abstract:
Cut carnation was used as material.The effects of the concentration of sodium nitroprusside (SNP) as the vase preservative on the vase life,stem water potential,chlorophyll fluorescence parameters (Fo,Fm,Fv/Fm) and cell membrane permeability on cut carnation were studied.The results showed that the optimum concentration of sodium nitroprusside preservative canextend the vase life of cut flower,delayed the stem water potential decreasing,retained the cut carnation leaves with a high efficiency of light energy conversion (Fv/Fm),and postponed the degradation of plasma membrane.Among these experiments,20 g?L-1 sucrose+200 mg?L-1 8-hydroxyquinoline+150 mg?L-1 citric acid+30 mg?L-1sodium nitroprusside+10 mg?L-1 6-BA treatment had the best performance.
