Abstract:
Taking Elsholtzia stauntonii Benth.as material,and taking the air-dried stems,leaves and inflorescences stored in the lab for 6 months of Elsholtzia stauntonii Benth.as the donor and its seeds stored at 4 ℃ for 2 months as the recipient,the four indexes such as the germination energy,germinating index,germination percentage and seedling percentage were determined by bioassay method in the lab,with 3×5 factorial complete randomized design,in order to study the self-allelopathy of E.stauntonii. The results showed that:both donor type and water extract concentration had great significant effects (P<0.01) on the germination energy,germination index,germination percentage and seedling percentage,except donor type on seedling percentage(P<0.05).The self-allelopathy order from the strongest to the weakest was leaf>inflorescence>stem and the inhibitory effect of leaf aqueous extracts on its seed germination was stronger with the concentration increasing and the aqueous extracts of stems and inflorescences had a ‘hormesis’ concentration effect on the seed germination.Different treatments had inhibited effects on the four indexes of the recipient,the order from strong to weak was the germination energy>germination index>seedling percentage>germination percentage.Leave leaching was one of the main ways to release allelochemicals.So,for the reasonable cultivation and management of E. stauntonii,the fallen leaves and dead branches should be removed on time in order to relieve the autotoxicity.
