Abstract:
A hydroponic method was used to test the effects of different concentration of Na2SeO3 (0,0.05,0.10,0.50,1.00,2.00 and 4.00 mg?L-1) on the growth of Cichorium endivia.In this study,American flower leaves was used as main test material.Modified Hoagland nutrient solution was used to treat seedling of Cichorium endivia.Effects of different concentration of Na2SeO3 on the length and width,fresh weight of single leaf,chlorophyll content,vitamin C content,soluble sugar content,soluble protein content were measured.With the increasing of concentration of Na2SeO3 in Hoaland nutrient solution,all testing values increased at first,then deceased.This study showed that the growth of Cichorium endivia was the best when the concentration of Na2SeO3 was 1.00 mg?L-1.
