Abstract:
Using tulip‘Golden Oxford’as materials,effects of 3 different cultivation ways on growth and development traits of tulip second generation were studied.11 growth traits as date of bud,blossom rate,plants height,leaf number,leaf width,leaf length,scape height,blossom transverse diameter and vertical diameter,cormel number and diameter were observed and analyzed.The results showed that growth traits and flowering characters of tulip second generation cultivated in the boxes were significantly better than those cultivated in the flowerpot.While cormel growth traits of studied tulips through ground cultivation were better than those cultivated both in the flowerpots and boxes.Relatively,tulips in the boxes exhibited the best growth vigor among the three cultivation methods,followed by ground and pot cultivation.Thus using boxes to cultivate tulip second generation was obviously feasible especially when its value of landscape beautification was considered.
