Abstract:
Under the normal natural conditions,the seeds of Solanum aculeatissimum have a pretty low germination rate.In order to find a suitable treatment to accelerate the germination rate,two reagents of gibberellic acid (GA,0-1 000 mg/L) and hydrogen peroxide solution (H2O2,0%-3.0%) with different concentration gradients were used to deal with the seeds.The numbers of sprouted seeds were gathered daily.Three indicators of the germination rate,germination potential and germination index were employed to study the effect of GA and H2O2 on the seed germination.The results showed that,H2O2 and GA with low concentration(0-400 mg/L) had little effect on the seed germination,while GA with high concentration(600-1 000 mg/L) significantly promoted the germination of Solanum aculeatissimum.
